Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Specialist/Windows will have adequate experience and training to effectively perform the duties listed below:

    Install hardware, build software, configure, and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
  • Create and administer user accounts, security groups, and group policy.
  • Conduct backups and system recoveries.
  • Configure and manage patching solutions and log collection.
  • Provide technical support to onsite users.
  • Maintain compliance with DoD Security Technical Configuration Guides (STIGs).
  • Investigation trouble calls, isolate faults, identify and implement corrective actions to restore information systems operations.

Travel

  • This position includes a low level of travel.

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Relevant operating system training: MS Windows 10, MS Server 2012/2016/2019.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience. Relevant experience to include MS Windows 7/10, MS Server 2008/2012/2016, WSUS, SIEM products, virtualization software, MS SQL database, DISA STIGS, Shavlik, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution/Nessus, PKI, Storage Area Networks, backup/restore solutions, and DNS.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Require one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or Level III Certifications:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • Security CE
    • CND
    • SSCP
    • CASP CE
    • CCNP Security
    • CISA
    • CISSP (or Associate)
    • GCED
    • GCIH
    • CCSP

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
  • U.S citizenship required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
  • Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs.
